ANNOUNCEMENT DEC 24, 2025 - TUSHFEST MUSICAL SOCIETY OF EDMONTON
This sad day has finally come after 15+ years. We are closing our parking pass donation program.
While we'd like to continue for many more years, we have reached the end of our funds
so generously donated by Edmonton music fans attending our reunion concerts.
We are very proud to have helped hundreds of cancer patients, and their families,
ease the burden of expenses while at the Cross Cancer Institute in Edmonton.
Due to our annual reunion concerts (and private donations) we were able to raise over
$80,000 from 2009-2025. Most of these funds went to the parking pass program,
while some went to local music charities, or to help a musician with medical expenses.
We reunited many classic bands that played the western bar circuit thru the 80's & 90's,
and these video, pics, and memories will remain on our Facebook and YouTube pages online.
Just search the word 'TUSHFEST'.
However, as of January 1, 2026 the main TUSHFEST website will be shut down.
We would like to thank our army of volunteers over the years, including the
board members for the Tushfest Musical Society of Edmonton:
Sandee Tocheniuk, Coleen Tocheniuk, Bill Birch, Mike Braniff, and Randy Lambeth.
Named after our good friend Wayne 'TUSH' Tocheniuk (RIP),
it's time to put this to rest, and carry on with fond memories with good friends.
We thank each and every person who worked, volunteered, and donated to this program.
Although this has come to an end, the good work done by everyone involved helped so
many people through tough times, and won't be forgotten.
